Mobile Phones

On 1st December 2003 a new regulation on banning mobile phones when driving came into force. It is an offence to use a hand-held phone, or similar device when driving.

There is a fixed penalty of £30, or maximum fine of £1,000 for conviction at court.

It is possible to face prosecution, even, when using a hands free kit if you fail to have proper control of your vehicle.
