On 1st December 2003, new laws were set in place to prevent
discrimination in the workplace. These are focused on discouraging
discrimantion on the grounds of sexual orientation and religion
in matters of employment and training. The laws implement the
European Employment Directive.
The Directive will also amend the Disability Discrimination
Act in 2004. Further legislation will be implemented in 2006
aimed at preventing discrimination on the grounds of age.
