The UK Copyright and Related Rights Regulation came into force
on 31st October 2003, implementing the European Union Copyright
Directive.

The new Copyright Law restricts photocopying for commercial
purposes and as such organisations are recommended to acquire
a License from the CLA.
Copying for commercial purposes will
no longer be exempt as ‘fair dealing’.
