There is no statute in the UK that deals specifically with domain
name rights.
The UKs Nominet system works on a, first come,
first served basis for registering domain names.
A business that fails to register a domain name, may find themselves
racking up unnecessary and expensive costs in attempting to
reclaim or defend the use of a domain name.

One of the first cases that involved the protection of an Internet
domain name was Pitman Training Ltd v Nominet UK (1997).
We recently acted on behalf of Bonnier Media group in obtaining
an interdict to prevent an infringer from using domain name
variations of our clients' Trade Mark.
Our team is experienced in dealing with domain name disputes
and can advise you as to your rights, the registration procedure,
and renewing your domain name, and dispute resolution.
