Privacy H.M.A. –v- Danskin

In 2000 our team successfully represented all parts of the media including broadcasters in successfully overturning a Section 4 Order in the case of H.M.A. -v- Danskin.

We were able to argue that the Section 4 Order restricting reporting of the case was excessive using the Human Rights Act as well as arguing that the scope of the Contempt of Court Act was sufficient to protect the accused’s position.

As a result of our representations, the case was fully reported in the press.
